Review: Fido

I like Fido best on summer and winter break mornings; there are no undergrads around then. During those times, the staff is friendly and easygoing, and it’s relatively easy to find a seat. My favorite menu items are the simple single latte, with the milk usually poured in with a decorative touch, and the skinny pumpkin chip muffins, which I had on this particular trip. Full-meal menu items have been good as well, including pancakes and sweet potato fries, the likes of which I’ve never been able to duplicate at home. They were just right: crispy on the outside, soft inside, and accompanied by a mayo-horseradish sauce.

Fido is not the cleanest of places; I’ve seen some bugs crawling around in the northeast corner of the seating area. But maybe that was a random event.
