Crema

Long before the Nashville Scene’s prediction for Crema came out, my friends had been bugging me to go try out the coffee shop. And I just did. I forgot to try the tom ka kai during my time there, but will just have to go back. During my visit I had a regular latte and spinach egg quiche. Each were really nice, and the total cost just over $6. They also offer an assortment of baked goods by local purveyor Wild Muffin.

I was pleasantly surprised by the barista’s easy friendliness. Seating is not plentiful in the shop, but is nicely varied, with bar-like seating facing the Cmberland River, arm chairs that can be pulled together for chatting, and table-level seating at the coffee bar. And they have one big advantage over Fido – plentiful plugins for laptops. Wait, make that two advantages: it’s not overly crowded (not yet, at least!).
