Italian Market Re-opening
The Nashville Scene is reporting that the Italian Market, one of our favorite places, is re-opening under new ownership. It’s kind of weird to imagine how the Italian Market and Cafe Coco could possibly relate, but we hope it works!

I hope it works. I hope Coco’s sources the same pasta. I got the best dried bowtie pasta made in Italy there. So much better than any from the regular grocery.

I went there last week and was surprised to discover that Cafe Coco was the new owner. The food was still fabulous even though the place seemed a bit gutted. What they lacked in ambience they made up for in service and flavor. I really hope this is a change for the better!

I am proud to say that I am the asst. executive chef at Cafe CoCo’s Italian Market. This is the first restaurant in my ten year career were the owners have been 100% dedicated to capturing the taste and freshness of authentic italian cuisine. The owners are dedicated to creating a dining experience unlike any other in Nashville. They have traveled abroad researching the italian dining experience and have italian in their blood. We are currently remodeling, the complete design will give the customer the feeling of being in a cozy Italian Market in Italy. I encourage anyone who is skeptical to come out and experince the tasty food and imported grocery product. Remember change is good.

Thanks for your comment, Scott! The changes sound really exciting. We’ll try to come out when the remodel is finished; can you give us a heads up about a projected finish date?

I will post the date of the grand opening later this week.
