(Burnt) Toast of Nashville results

The Nashville Scene’s Bites column had it right – what’s the deal with the vote-getters in the Tennessean’s Toast of Music City results? It was all just so unbelievably bad. Olive Garden for a top-three Italian restaurant? Huh? Nashvillest continues the play on “burnt” toast, but the results were just so awful that they deserve as many bad puns as can be thrown.

Apparently I wasn’t the only one whose mouth dropped open in amazement while reading the results yesterday. Please, get a recommendation from here or one of Nashville’s great food blogs (links to the right!) when making your dining decisions and before heading to a chain. There’s too much great food in Nashville to waste your time, money, and tastebuds on a chain restaurant.

Saw when the Tennessean was asking for votes. Most of the restaurants listed were chains. Most of my picks in categories like pizza, hot wings etc, did not have locally owned restaurants like House of Pizza or Most Wanted Pizza. I gave up after category 3 and never voted.
    ps O.G. is bad Period
