P.S. Noodle Pot (Pleasant surprises on Bell Road, Part 1)

Tuesday was a 12 hour work day for me. Towards the end of it, Josh called and suggested we go to P.S. Noodle Pot, a place in the Antioch area, recommended to us by friends. A quick call confirmed that they were open until 9pm on weekdays, so off we went.

It was just what I needed after such a long day. I had classic pho, served in a big, steaming bowl with a side dish of bean sprouts, basil, and iceberg lettuce. Josh had lo mein, which tasted excellent with its obviously freshly-made sauce that might be possible to recreate with a little legwork – not MSG-laden as it can be in so many restaurants. The service was quick and attentive.

I liked the atmosphere at P.S. Noodle Pot as well. They’re open until 10pm on weekends, and it’s nice to have a locally-owned restaurant for good food in southeast Nashville with later opening hours.

Their menu had lots of variety. I was especially in the mood for pho so I didn’t look at the menu too carefully, but spotted lunch specials for $6.95. My pho was just $8.95.

We also liked the location. It’s near the intersection of Bell Road and Blue Hole Road, less congested than other sections of Bell Road. The restaurant is located in a nicely laid out strip mall, which is easy to exit onto Bell Road via a stop light.

We look forward to returning often!

I work in the Antioch area and have eaten at P.S. Noodle Pot several times for lunch.

Its not bad, but in that area there is a Cafe inside the King Market on Antioch Pike. It is MUCH better than the noodle pot, and all the Thai/Asian places in the area. Its right off of Haywood lane.

Man, Rodney stole my thunder. I’ve written about the King Market’s pho several times on my Web site (search the archives at nashville-eats.blogspot.com). My office is located about a mile from the Haywood Ln/Antioch Pk intersection, and my co-workers and I are in there at least once a week. A place really has to be good for yours truly to make weekly visits, indeed.

There is another place to have a great pho is Noodle House Thai Restaurant, their Pho ($7.95) is the best, they have Pho with Seafood and Combination but I like with Beef the most. Not to mention Curry — Green Curry LOVE IT too. My husband ordered Seafood Clay pot, he said it was the best food he ever had. You guys need to try I think they have a website also maybe http://www.noodlehousethairestaurant.com this restaurant is in Lavergne on Murfreesboro Rd.

I finally made it over to P.S. Noodle Pot back in June. My review:
