Jerusalem Restaurant
Jerusalem Restaurant is a Middle Eastern restaurant in the heavily food trafficked area between Vanderbilt and Baptist Hospital. We stopped there on a weekday to try out their lunch offerings.
We had the buffet, which included abundant tubs of hummus and various dishes such as rice, lamb meatballs, and stuffed grape leaves. Overall, we were very much underwhelmed and a little sensitive to the flavors the food presented. The lamb especially tasted a little old and the falafel was very dry.
Overall, Jerusalem Restaurant is somewhere we just can’t heartily recommend.

You have to go for dinner and have the eggplant salad and the beef shwerma sandwich. It's fantastic!!

Yikes – this place is just plain bad. How do you mess up pita? I love Middle Eastern food and have eaten it my whole life, including in the Middle East. I had the lunch buffet recently and there was not much redeemable about the meal. The chicken was okay, but pretty much everything else was unbelievably bad. The falafel were like rock hard discs and there was a beef dish that was actually awful. I was very disappointed with the entire experience. To add insult to injury, we had terrible gas through the next day. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else.
