Raz'z in Smyrna was a home away from home for a bunch of us for two years while working as consultants on a project. The food was always excellent, the staff was more like family, and I could not think of anyone else who truly deserves the recognition for such hard work and personable service.

Congratulations!

Razz and his wife are awesome. I've been eating there since he opened the doors 10 years ago. I very happy for Razz and all his success. Congratulations Razz. And my favorite is a Rare NY Strip with smashed taters. Oh man, I'm drooling, I got to go eat..

I have been going to Razz for over ten years now. Why do I keep going back? I have never met such a delightful, friendly restaurant owner that really cares that you are there. His food is the best you will find anywhere in the country. I am so proud of him. Go Razz!!

Jennifer,
It's something we've been asked before, but unfortunately we don't run any official dining club and don't know of any. But it's a good idea! If anyone wants to arrange something in the comments, feel free!

I've known Raz for more than a decade. I was on hand for the opening of his M'boro Road restaurant. Not only is Chef Raz an all-around great guy, he serves some of the best scratch-made dishes in town. Indeed, I'd put his pot roast and smashed taters up against any pot roast and smashed taters ... and Raz's, er, Raz'z would win.

I was wondering if you guys ever did anything like Restaurant of the Month or something and got together? I have a friend in a Foodie Club in Chicago and they meet up and experience different places once a month. Thought it sounded pretty fun. Just a thought. Great site, love the blogs!
