Miss Martha’s Ice Cream Crankin 2010
It’s already that time to enjoy when dozens of amateur dessert makers converge on the grounds of First Presbyterian Church in Nashville for Martha’s Ice Cream all vying for their frozen concoctions to be picked as Purity’s next mass produced ice cream flavor. This grand event is the annual Miss Martha’s Ice Cream Crankin’.
Admission allows unlimited sampling of more ice cream than you can likely handle. Lots of traditional flavors are sure to be there along with sweet innovations, some great triumphs of creativity, and some perhaps questionable (anybody have that “Twitter” ice cream last year?). And even some good sorbets if you’re willing to look hard enough. I advise showing up early to guarantee you get some of the most demanded flavors!
Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children. Buying entry the day of the event kicks the price up to $13 for adults and $10 for children. Proceeds go to benefit the Martha O’Bryan center of Nashville.
